About My Work

At times when a client explores difficult thoughts and feelings it can be uncomfortable, even painful for them. As a person-centred therapist my focus will be on listening to you and what you want to talk about in your own time.

Sometimes we are so busy in our everyday lives we have little, if any time, to talk about the things that concern us. We may find it difficult to open up to others, or the people closest to us, for fear of being misunderstood, judged, or unheard. We all get a little stuck sometimes whether it is from past issues that are unresolved, or things that are present in the here and now.

Within my therapy room I will provide you with a confidential space where you can feel safe enough to talk about anything that concerns you or causes you distress, without fear of reprisal, embarrassment, judgment or misunderstanding, without diagnosis or labels.

I work with Individuals Male & Female Adults 18+

I offer short term six sessions or longer term counselling depending on your Individual needs

I take GP referrals and self-referrals (you do not have to go through your GP)

*Booking Therapy Sessions*

Initial Assessment Session @ Reduced Fee of £25.00 – [50 minutes]

The assessment session will be to discuss the reason(s) you are seeking therapy and what you would like to gain from it, and any concerns or questions you may have.

Once we have decided that we can work together, a contract is usually agreed for 6 further sessions to start with.

Further sessions will then be £35.00 – Monday-Friday 9.00am-5.00pm

During our work together we will review how things are going and whether you wish to continue receiving counselling after your six sessions, move on to longer term counselling (this is called going into open time or open ended time), change the frequency of your sessions; or finish counselling.

Occasionally, towards the end of therapy, if I feel it would be beneficial for you to be referred on, or back to your gp/ or another service, this will be discussed with you.
