During the summer months if you would prefer to have your counselling session outdoors we can arrange this. There are some pleasant walks in Witham along the River Brain. If there is bad weather then you can have your session in the therapy room, the choice is entirely yours.
Initial Assessment Session is held in the therapy room – Monday to Friday 10.00am-4.00pm @ Reduced Fee £25.00 (50 minutes).
Person-Centred Walking Therapy (PCWT – Monday – Friday 10.00am – 4.00pm (50 minutes) – Fee £40.00.
How Does Person-Centred Walking Therapy Work?
We will have a first 50 minute assessment session in my office for you to talk about what you want to bring, and decide whether we can work together. Once we have decided if we can work together we will discuss boundaries and confidentiality and agree on a location for us to meet each week.
As is the case with counselling room sessions your (PCWT) Person-Centred Walking Therapy will be on the same day and at the same time each week. We will usually start with six sessions and review our work during our time together.
I offer short term or longer term counselling depending on your needs.
If having your counselling sessions in the outdoors is something you would be interested in and you would like to book an appointment call Carol on 07714 790938. This therapy is offered during the months of May, June, July, August, September, October only.
Counselling in the outdoors can help bring that feel good factor, and any sessions undertaken will be led at your own pace. Although we will be walking together in the physical sense, and this may not be seen as anything out of the ordinary when walking along and talking as people do this all the time, it is a private counselling session and therefore, maintaining boundaries and confidentiality will be key.
The River Brain is lovely to walk alongside, especially during the summer months, but also leading up to the Autumn. It is a peaceful and relaxing location that runs through the centre of Witham. It has a lovely grassland, meadow areas, with trees, copse and a pond. Person-Centred Walking Therapy (PCWT) can take place along most sections of the river which are accessible by foot from most of central Witham.
